| Will Scion FireWire Cameras work in Windows 7? |
| All Scion FireWire cameras are supported in Windows 7.
However, it is currently necessary to downgrade the Windows
FireWire drivers to the Legacy version.

What kind of lens mount is on the Scion cameras?
All Scion FireWire cameras will accept C-Mount lenses.

Will the Scion camera work with the 800 Mb/s FireWire
adapter cards?
Yes, the Scion FireWire cameras will work with all OHCI
compliant 400 Mb/s and 800 Mb/s FireWire adapters. But, we
currently do not have a model that will take advantage of the
increased speed of the 800 Mb/s adapters.

My computer only has a 4 pin FireWire port. Will
the Scion cameras work with this?
At no charge a customer can request a 4 pin to 6 pin adapter
to be included with their purchase of a Scion FireWire camera.

The camera does not have a power switch, should it be
unplugged each night?
Leaving the camera plugged in and on will not affect the
camera adversely in any way.

What are the warranty terms for Scion Products?
All Scion products are backed by a 1 year parts and labor

What operating systems will support the Scion FireWire
cameras?
Currently supported operating systems are Mac OS 10.4 and
higher, Windows 2000, Windows XP, and Windows Vista 32-bit.

How can I capture a movie or a time lapse with the Scion
cameras?
We currently provide a Make Movie plug-in for the ImageJ
program. Norpix (http://www.norpix.com)
also provides support for our cameras. They make a
products, StreamPix, that has the ability to capture movies and
time lapse.

How do I send a camera in for repairs?
You must first talk with Customer Support and they will
determine if the camera needs to come back for repair.
They will give you a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA)
Number as a reference. This number must be clearly labeled
somewhere on the box.

What FireWire adapter boards will work with the Scion
FireWire cameras?
Any OHCI compliant adapter will work fine with the Scion
FireWire cameras. |
